Journeys
Journeys are at the heart of the Friendship Force. On this page, you will find destinations of previous journeys that FF Cornwall has made with FF clubs all over the world, both incoming and outgoing groups.

If you think that your group might be interested in a journey to us here in Cornwall, HERE is an example of a typical programme that we offer, although every one is different. Just a few of the clubs that we have visited or hosted are listed below, many with a report from our members:

Our club is one of over 300 similar clubs located in more than 60 countries around the world. We are a non-profit corporation committed to furthering world peace by forming international friendships. Members travel in small groups as "Ambassadors" to one or two host cities on what is called a Journey.
While on a Journey, members are home-hosted individually or in pairs for a week in each city by members of the receiving Friendship Force club. It's a unique opportunity to share in the lives of a family and to learn of their culture. It's a lot more than just sharing bed and board. Members sometimes find themselves attending a wedding, visiting a school, or even dressing in local costumes. They may be taken to a spa in Japan, an underground salt cathedral in Colombia, or visit an ice palace in Sweden. You just never know...
Our club annually hosts journeys from other countries and clubs from around the U.K. In addition to hosting ambassadors in our homes, we plan group activities and several social group events, usually one per month.
Our club started in 1999. Since then some of the countries we have had dozens of exchanges, both outbound and inbound, including Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, USA, Mexico, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, and Turkey.
Our members come from all around Cornwall, united by a love of travel and learning about other cultures.
It may sound like we are a travel club, but we are not. We are a lot more. We are looking for others who want to make friends around the world, so if this sounds interesting to you, we'd love to hear from you!
